South African Underwater Hockey Teams Make Semi-Finals

South African Underwater Hockey

While much focus has been placed on the FIH Hockey World Cup in London, Hockey of a different sport have been making a splash in Canada – The South African Underwater Hockey teams are impressing at the World Cup.

The South African Underwater Hockey Ladies Elite team and the Men’s Masters have made their way into the World Cup Semi-Finals. The Ladies Elite are defending champions at the event while the Masters last tasted Gold in 2008.

I must admit, it comes as a surprise to me that the South African Underwater Hockey teams have such a rich history in the World Cup as they get very little exposure by media outlets in the country.
