Springbok Player Ratings: Ireland & that loss

There it is – you date painful needle girls your whole life, then you go to Cape Town on holiday and meet this cracker. She gives you hope, she is attractive, hard-working, puts in plenty of effort and you think to yourself that you have found the one.

You stay in contact and think about the possibilities and plan to go meet up with her in Dublin for a few weeks holiday after a gruelling year. Your trip includes, Paris, Rome and finally Cardiff, you couldn’t be happier. You couldn’t be happier until you realise, every other South African in the Stadium is dating the same girl and she just pulled the wool over all your eyes… Welcome to Springbok Rugby!

Take the Cape Town performance against New Zealand off the table, and you will properly understand the gravity of the situation. Coetzee and the rest of who is in charge actually are clueless and are just driving our National team deeper into the abyss. It will take a strong personality and coach who takes no issues from anyone to get this back on track.

This Irish loss was as severe as the NZ loss earlier this year, tryless and entirely and utterly rear-ended by the opposition.

The blanket approach to coaching and the copy and paste attitude is so transparent we get beaten at our own game… today teams analyse, adapt and actively evolve their game plans and objectives in game week and on the field.

To that woman I met in Cape Town, you broke my heart, but you also taught me plenty. I am over you and your issues, time to move on and rediscover our passion, love and power again, yours sincerely Every Springbok Fan Alive.
