Our previous We Meet: Bradley Grobler went down well with the Ajax Cape Town faithful and it is with great joy that we announce another addition to our “We Meet” initiative. And what’s even better? This time we get to meet a Currie Cup Champion! This weekend we will be chatting with WP Rugby’s Nic Groom over lunch and beers at moyo Blouberg. Provincial Rugby is done for 2013 and we want to find out what the player gets up to now that he has more time on his hands. If you have any specific questions for Nic, leave them in the comments below and we will pass it on to him.

Questions that Nic answered for WP Rugby
What is your earliest rugby memory?
Playing barefoot on the Dale Junior fields. The hardest fields you could ever play on!
What is the best part of playing for DHL Western Province?
I live in Cape Town so it’s so awesome to represent such a great city. We have the greatest supporters on earth too.
If you were offered a superpower, what would you choose and why?
I would want to be like Hiro Nakamura – from Heroes. He freezes time and can teleport. I would then be the top try-scorer in every match and we could never lose.
So that’s a taste of what the man is all about – keep an eye out for The Pundits’ interview next week!
